Wendy Porter is very patient and kind by nature, so anyone taking from her will enjoy this lovely lady of the arts.  Wendy has an exceptionally low level of turnover as her students love her and love their lessons.

She studied private piano for 16 years with composer and pianist Alexis Howe of San Francisco. She also had 6 years of private vocal training with Kathy Saffas as well as opera training from Dietrich Erbelding.  Wendy can sing any style of music, and her training in the Estill Voice method makes her a prime teacher of choice for those who are particularly interested in R&B, pop, and correct belting technique.  This technique supersedes outdated methods of vocal training, as it is based on laryngoscope research of what really happens in the throat for beautiful, effortless singing.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in 2003 from East Bay California State University. Her proficiency in piano as a vocal teacher gives her an indisputable advantage for being a top rate teacher.
